She completed her doctorate in conservation of textiles and antiquities, to tap into an interdisciplinary expertise to preserve the heritage of the communities she works with. Over three decades, Dr. Priya dedicated herself to extensive field and academic research in Kutch, Gujarat, meticulously unravelling the intricate historic, ethnic and cultural threads of Kutch's embroidery techniques and traditions.
